Coming to the Stage!

Tickets are $15.

Supported by an Arts Tour grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, members of the VocalEssence Ensemble Singers and Don Shelby as Mark Twain go on the road to Northern Minnesota to celebrate life on the Mississippi River. Through choral music and the spoken word, VocalEssence takes listeners on a musical journey of the past and present—choral masterpieces, favorite folksongs, traditional spirituals, and Americana—all paired with the words of Mark Twain.

Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice

Starting Friday, April 8th, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Fearing the actions of Superman are left unchecked, Batman takes on the man of steel, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero it really needs. With Batman and Superman fighting each other, a new threat, Doomsday, is created by Lex Luthor. It’s up to Superman and Batman to set aside their differences along with Wonder Woman to stop Lex Luthor and Doomsday from destroying Metropolis. Rated PG-13. Showtimes at 7 PM on Weeknights.  4 PM & 7 PM on Weekends.

Starting at 12:30 PM on Monday, March 21st, The Hunt for Red October. In November 1984, the Soviet Union’s best submarine captain in their newest sub violates orders and heads for the USA. Is he trying to defect or to start a war? Rated PG.

 

On the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, the Paradise shows a free matinee at 12:30. These have become a popular part of movie experience at the Paradise and are sponsored by ECRAC.

Starting at 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 3rd, The Seventh Seal. A man seeks answers about life, death, and the existence of God as he plays chess against the Grim Reaper during the Black Plague. This film is not rated.

Free Film Series committee

Anyone interested in being part of the Free Film Series committee, which is responsible for choosing all movies for each of the different series, is welcome! It’s fun to be part of this aspect of movies at the Paradise! Please leave a message for Eric Carlisle at the concession counter, or call the Paradise at 320-679-3964 with message if you are interested.

The series are:

Kids matinee’s – once a month during school year, every Wednesday matinee all summer

Independent/foreign films – once a month the 1st. Saturday of each month

Classic Monday Matinee’s – 1st & 3rd. Monday of each month at 12:30, movies for everyone

Annual children’s Holiday movies – Between Thanksgiving & Christmas each Saturday & Sunday matinee’s

Summer Outdoor Movies – once a month on Saturday’s during summer months
