Starting Friday October 23, The Martian. During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Rated PG-13, showtimes 7pm each night, Saturday & Sunday 4 & 7. NO SHOWING ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27.

The World’s Fastest Indian
Starting at 1 PM, Sunday October 18th, The World’s Fastest Indian. The life story of New Zealander Burt Munro, who spent years building a 1920 Indian motorcycle — a bike which helped him set the land-speed world record at Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967. Rated PG-13.
The Farmer’s Daughter
Starting at 12:30 PM, Monday, October 19th, The Farmer’s Daughter. Katie Holstrom leaves the farm to become a nurse, but is sidetracked into domestic service, romance, and politics. This film is not rated.
Starting at 7 PM, Tuesday, October 27th, War Room. A seemingly perfect family looks to fix their problems with the help of Miss Clara, an older, wiser woman. Rated PG. This showing will be sponsored by Living Hope Church. ECRAC is not sponsoring this movie, per East Central Regional Arts Council guidelines involving sponsorships of projects that are religiously affiliated, as spelled out in grant guidelines.

Free Film Series committee
Anyone interested in being part of the Free Film Series committee, which is responsible for choosing all movies for each of the different series, is welcome! It’s fun to be part of this aspect of movies at the Paradise! Please leave a message for Eric Carlisle at the concession counter, or call the Paradise at 320-679-3964 with message if you are interested.
The series are:
Kids matinee’s – once a month during school year, every Wednesday matinee all summer
Independent/foreign films – once a month the 1st. Saturday of each month
Classic Monday Matinee’s – 1st & 3rd. Monday of each month at 12:30, movies for everyone
Annual children’s Holiday movies – Between Thanksgiving & Christmas each Saturday & Sunday matinee’s
Summer Outdoor Movies – once a month on Saturday’s during summer months
