Starting Friday, May 6th, The Jungle Book. The man-cub Mowgli flees the jungle after a threat from the tiger Shere Khan. Guided by Bagheera the panther and the bear Baloo, Mowgli embarks on a journey of self-discovery, though he also meets creatures who don’t have his best interests at heart. Rated PG. Showtimes at 7 PM on Weeknights.  4 PM & 7 PM on Weekends.

The Huntsman: Winter’s War

Starting Friday, May 13th, The Huntsman: Winter’s War. As a war between rival queen sisters Ravenna and Freya escalates, Eric and fellow warrior Sara, members of the Huntsmen army raised to protect Freya, try to conceal their forbidden love as they combat Ravenna’s wicked intentions. Rated PG-13. Showtimes at 7 PM on Weeknights.  4 PM & 7 PM on Weekends.

 

 


FREE MONDAY MATINEES


State Fair

Starting at 12:30 PM on Monday, May 16th, State Fair. Farm family Frake, with discontented daughter Margy, head for the Iowa State Fair. On the first day, both Margy and brother Wayne meet attractive new flames; so does father’s prize hog, Blue Boy. As the fair proceeds, so do the romances; must lovers separate when the fair closes? This film is Approved.

 

On the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, the Paradise shows a free matinee at 12:30. These have become a popular part of movie experience at the Paradise and are sponsored by ECRAC.

Bicycle Thieves 

Starting at 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 8th, Bicycle Thieves. Set in Post-WWII Italy, a working class man’s bicycle is stolen. He and his son set out to find it. This film is not rated.


On the Sundays, the Paradise shows a

 Free Film Series committee

Anyone interested in being part of the Free Film Series committee, which is responsible for choosing all movies for each of the different series, is welcome! It’s fun to be part of this aspect of movies at the Paradise! Please leave a message for Eric Carlisle at the concession counter, or call the Paradise at 320-679-3964 with message if you are interested.

The series are:

Kids matinee’s – once a month during school year, every Wednesday matinee all summer

Independent/foreign films – once a month the 1st. Saturday of each month

Classic Monday Matinee’s – 1st & 3rd. Monday of each month at 12:30, movies for everyone

Annual children’s Holiday movies – Between Thanksgiving & Christmas each Saturday & Sunday matinee’s

Summer Outdoor Movies – once a month on Saturday’s during summer months
